ViaMarca is a boutique law firm providing comprehensive legal services in all aspects of intellectual property. We offer a unique approach based on our experience. The founder of the law firm – Karol Gajek – is an advocate and patent attorney with over 20 years of professional experience in the field of intellectual property law, gained in reputable law firms, as well as in the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland (PPO) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
We place particular emphasis on the preparation of innovative IP strategies. We advise on how to effectively eliminate risks and protect IP rights both in Poland and worldwide, and we take all necessary steps to obtain proper protection.
We conduct disputes regarding intellectual property rights, specializing in cases related to trademarks, industrial designs and unfair competition. We represent clients before the PPO, EUIPO, common courts, including the Supreme Court, administrative courts, including the Supreme Administrative Court, as well as before the EU Court of Justice in Luxembourg.

Karol Gajek – founder of ViaMarca IP
Karol Gajek, advocate, patent attorney, graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Silesia, and Postgraduate Studies in Industrial Property at the University of Warsaw.
For many years, he gained experience working in reputable law firms, both patent and law firms, as well as large general law firms. Previously, for three years he worked in the Trade Marks Department of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, where, after passing an expert examination, he granted protection rights for trademarks. He also completed a six-month traineeship at the EUIPO Trade Marks Department in Alicante – an agency of the European Union dealing with the registration of EU trademarks and industrial designs. In the following years, he was a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars devoted to intellectual property, where he mainly presented the subject of trademark law and intellectual property management.
Karol is a member of the Advocate Bar Association in Warsaw (entry no. 5308) and is entered in the list of patent attorneys kept by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland (entry no. 3236). He is also a professional representative at EUIPO (entry no. 42389). Karol is an active member of the international trademark organizations International Trademark Association (INTA) and Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group (PTMG).
Karol was individually nominated in the “The Legal 500 EMEA – 2019” ranking as the recommended intellectual property lawyer in Poland (“Recommended Lawyer: Intellectual Property”). He is also the co-author of the publication “International Comparative Legal Guide to Trade Marks – Global Legal Group”, in which he has been presenting the legal system of trademarks in Poland for several years.
